The project required the development of a device capable of positioning a probe adjacent to a drill core, translating the probe along the core’s axis, and rotating it around the core with high precision.

Description:

Multiple prototypes were engineered and constructed for laboratory testing. The control system incorporated highly accurate motion control and position logging capabilities.
